What's it all about?

Transition Town Guildford is a group based in Guildford, Western Australia (including adjoining suburbs South Guildford, Bassendean, Caversham, Woodbridge and Hazelmere) who are interested in creating a local, resilient, and more fulfilling way of living by turning bright ideas into solutions for a future we can all look forward to.

Transition Initiatives are a worldwide movement of ordinary people finding ways of living more sustainably, building community resilience and creating a positive response to the challenges of climate change and peak oil. Each Transition Town (or city, or village, or island, etc.) is independent, developing its own plans and working on its own priorities.
